My Healthy Weight Loss Diet Blog – Week 1

Hello, and welcome to the first day of My Healthy Weight Loss Diet Blog. If you’ve been following My ‘Lose Weight Fast’ Diet Journal, you’ll know that I lost 10.6 pounds from 3-1-09 to 4-1-09 — roughly 2.7 lbs per week.

I converted the weight loss to weeks for a good reason; this new journal — blog — will be a weekly thing. I think that going to a weekly ‘progress report’ will force me to see the bigger picture, and when you look at the numbers below you’ll see how easy it is to slip-up on a weight loss plan.

It’s easy to count calories and keep track of exercising daily to force yourself to stay within pre-determined bounds (in theory). I’m now forced to look at my overall lifestyle to determine where I can make improvements in my eating and exercising habits.

In the coming weeks I’ll discuss my overall goal of getting down to 220 lbs by October 1st with what I’m calling: “Phase 2 – Improve Eating Habits” and “Phase 3 – Increase Exercise Routines”. Oh, and I’ve lowered my weekly weight loss goal to 2 lbs — on average. Wish me luck…
