Three steps forward; one step back.
I could blame it on the rain, as it has been raining here almost non-stop for 5 days. But I won’t–the fact is, I ate more than my target of 1600 calories. So regardless of the fact that I didn’t reach my exercise goal (50 mins average/day), the cals are what did it. A weight gain of 2.4 lbs, that is.
And just when I was almost fitting into my ’slimmer’ jeans–the 5 lb loss last week made me lose inches fast! Oh well, another week starts and another chance at weight loss is here. My goal for next week? Lose the 2.4 lbs I gained this week…plus 1 more.

And, if you read last week’s weight loss diet plan post, you’ll find my theory (and proof) of the ‘delayed effect’ of calories on weight loss. Which implies that it will take me 2 weeks of target (or lower) calories to lose the weight.
This week’s soggy numbers:
- Average calories: 2132/day
- Average exercise: 20 mins/day
- Last week’s weight: 269.0 (lbs)
- Today’s weight: 271.4
- Weekly weight loss (gain): (2.4)
- Total weight loss: 17.8
