Well, I did it! Actually, I did even more than I expected. A recap of last week’s promise: “Next week I’ll eat less than 1600 average calories per day and we’ll see if I lose weight fast; I consider 2 lbs per week a fast weight loss rate.”
If you look at the numbers (below), you’ll see that the average cals were just a bit over my target…but, I lost 5.2 lbs anyway! This is officially the lowest I’ve been since I started keeping track, last February. The year anniversary, so to speak, is coming up in 3 weeks.
My goal? 259 lbs, for a total weight loss of 30.2 lbs in one year. This may not sound impressive, at first, but perseverance is, in fact, a painful practice; as you’ll see when I publish the yearly chart following my losses and gains over the course of the year.
My advice to you–if you’re serious about losing weight–is: open your spreadsheet and set up a weekly chart; weigh yourself weekly and log it there. Also, start a journal (blog) like this one. You’d be surprised at the insights you’ll gain from logging down your weekly thoughts.
Until next week; happy dieting
,
This week’s breakthrough numbers:
- Average calories: 1689/day
- Average exercise: 19 mins/day
- Last week’s weight: 273.6 (lbs)
- Today’s weight: 268.4
- Weekly weight loss: 5.2
- Total weight loss: 20.8
P. S. If you’d like some help setting up your spreadsheet or blog, please leave a comment (with your real email address–it won’t be published) and I’d be happy to help you out.
