Being a dietitian, a lot of people ask me how to lose weight fast. Many of these folks want to know something reasonable, like how to lose 10 pounds fast. If they are truly overweight -- not already slim to begin with -- that type of goal is easy to achieve.
The difficult cases are the ones that want to set an inappropriate or extreme goal. Some clients want to know how to lose 30 pounds in 30 days, others are already skinnier than is healthy, but want to lose more weight. These types of people, unfortunately, have to be talked out of their goals.
