The Reality Of Rapid Weight Loss

I'm sure you've seen myriad ads that promise to give you the secrets for rapid weight loss. This is not only false, it is not safe. You might be able to get the scale to go down, but the reality is, you aren't losing any real weight. Most of the initial pounds you lose are going to be water weight.

Rapid weight loss is a fantasy. For the most part, when you undertake such a regime you might see smaller numbers on the scale, but what's missing from your body is not all fat.

Currently, there is no secret to weight loss that is considered to be better than slow, methodical loss that is realized by cutting calories, eating better, and exercising. Most likely you'll be disappointed if you try any of these quick plans.

Rapid Water Loss

In order to maintain proper health you need to drink a lot of water, so losing pounds of it rapidly is going to make you feel a little weak, and it's something that is going to reappear on your body rather rapidly. Rapid weight loss is probably better described as rapid water loss.

If you do uncover a way to go about rapid weight loss that is actually taking the fat off, you've probably reduced calorie intake down too far. You may lose weight, but soon enough your body is going to slow down and burn less calories anyway.

If you have some sort of social event coming up and are seeking ways to lose weight rapidly, you may be able to implement one of these programs with some success. What you should remember is that the results are temporary. Rapid weight loss is usually followed by rapid weight gain, and you may even put on than you lost in the first place.

A Far Better Chance

If you take the time to lose weight the right way so that it stays off permanently, you won't have to try and find means for rapid weight loss every time you have to fit into a dress for an event, and you'll never have to worry about it again. Find a good, balanced eating plan and make time for exercise to get it off the right way. You have a far better chance of keeping it off if you do it right the first time around.
